The gorge is shaped by the Verdon River, which is naming following its surprising turquoise-green colour, one of the canyons’s the majority unique individuality. The most imposing part lies flanked by the towns of Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, where the river has slash a ravine up to 700 metres down from side to side the limestone mass. Cool Pictures.
